2004年7月1日上午，美国微软公司总裁比尔?盖茨先生在微软公司副总裁陈永正先生的陪同下兴高采烈地来到北师大实验中学参加“教育部-微软公司携手助学”项目百间计算机教室启动仪式。比尔?盖茨先生第一次面对高中学生，发表了富有激情的演讲并回答了学生提出的问题。启动仪式前，比尔·盖茨先生还与袁爱俊校长共同在校园里种下被称为“数字时代”的松树。 On July 1, 2004, president of Microsoft, Mr. Bill Gates, accompanied by Vice President, Mr. Chen Yongzheng, came to visit The Experimental Middle School Attached to Beijing Normal University. This exciting visit was a part of the project called “the Education Ministry of China joins hands with Microsoft to give financial aids to students”. The project started with the opening ceremony of a one-hundred-computer classroom. This is the first time that Mr. Bill Gates has been to a Middle School. He made a passionate speech and answered the questions raised by the students in the face-to-face meeting.
